Meet the board

Alissa Goodwin

Alissa is our president of Mom's Group! She has two children, Martin (3y) and Aliza (1y). She was previously a Pre-School Teacher before becoming a Stay-at-Home Mom. When she’s not in Mom mode, she loves being outside in all New England seasons but especially summer and being at the beach. In her spare time she likes watching Bravo TV and reading- a healthy balance! Alissa was born and raised in Wethersfield and is passionate about giving back to the community. She thought there was no better way to start than by getting involved in the mom’s group where she can use her passion to serve children and families, as well as her desire to be involved in the community where she is raising her family. Her children are third generation “townies” and seeing Wethersfield continue to thrive and grow as she raises her own family here now is one of her top priorities!

PRESIDENT

Molly Weyers

Molly is the vice president of the Moms Group. She has a 2 year old daughter Jude. She is the owner of Peaceful and Prenatal and teaches yoga classes for pregnancy, postpartum, babies, and toddlers. She's fluent in English, ASL, and Italian and loves to travel with her family. She loves time outside, a good laugh, and reading. Community is at the core her being and this is something she strives to bring to all new members of this group!

VICE PRESIDENT

Ashley Lindsey

Ashley Lindsey is a proud mama to Camden (3) and Grayson (18 months), and serves as the treasurer of the Wethersfield Moms Group. She grew up in Glastonbury and now lives in Wethersfield with her husband, Joe, and their two sons. Ashley is a certified personal trainer and nutrition coach with a longtime passion for fitness, especially strength training. She also serves on the board of Glastonbury Little League, where her love for baseball shines. When she’s not with her family, volunteering, or lifting weights, you can find her happily lost in a good book. Her favorite part of being in the WMG is the connections her whole family has made — from a strong sense of community to lifelong friendships.

TREASURER

Laura Hilton

Laura is the secretary of the Mom’s group. She is excited to be a first time mom to her daughter, Ella (3m). She works as a nurse educator for Hartford Healthcare Medical Group and travels all over the state to keep offices up-to-date and safe. She is a CT native and moved to Wethersfield two years ago to raise a family. In her free time you can find her in the garden, cooking, or listening to a new audiobook. She travels at any opportunity, whether on a plane to visit a new country or by foot exploring the backcountry on a hike.

SECRETARY

Allison Brophy

Allison is the New Membership Director at WMG. She recently settled in Old Wethersfield with her 3-year-old daughter, Caroline. Originally from Glastonbury, Allison spent several years living in Philadelphia before returning home to New England. When she’s not at home kissing her daughter’s “boo-boos,” she works full-time as an emergency department nurse. Off shift, you can find her enjoying the outdoors or planning her next DIY project. Through her journey of motherhood, she is incredibly grateful to have found such a supportive community of strong women in this group.
